Lymelight Festival

Since its inception in 2013, Lymelight Festival has seen over 600 local bands perform in Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre and brings the very best local talent from across the county back into the Lymelight while bringing the crowds into the town centre and benefiting the town.

Lymelight 2023 was the biggest event to date, and going into the the 2024 event we are growing further with 3 stage areas within the town. It will take place over 2 days during the Last May Bank Holiday and host over 40 local up and coming artists from across Staffordshire to provide a weekend of free, live music for people of all ages. As well as music from two outdoor stages, additional evening performances will take place throughout hospitality venues in the town and the festival welcomes the popular Castle Artisan Market.

let’s start the conversation...

THE OUTCOME

Leading into the 2024 event on the back of the most successful 2023 event, the event is growing both the live audience as well the profile of the event and in turn the artists.

PROJECT TIMINGS

Planned over 12 months for the line up and curating the program of artists on all stages, with the vast of the delivery work completed within the month before the event.

WHAT WE DID

PH supplied all the event management and safety planning for the event in advance, all stages including sound and lighting, and all the event infrastructure such as generators, fencing and safety equipment. Our partner companies such as medical cover, security helped deliver the vital elements of the event.

HERE’S WHAT THEY SAID

This Bank Holiday weekend not only offered free, live entertainment for people of all ages, bringing additional footfall into the town centre, but provided a much-needed platform for up and coming artists to be discovered by new fans, presenters, industry professionals and music moguls. Organised by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID with support from PH Productions and The Underground, this essential event has long been, and continues to be a staple of the Staffordshire and Cheshire music scene, planting a wealth of homegrown music firmly on the map.
