About us

At the turn of the millennium Peter Herbert started a new chapter in Production Services and formed the company that took on his initials, PH Production Services. Initially focussed on large scale site-specific production for the creative and live events industry, the team’s capabilities expanded when technical wizard Russell Coppock joined in 2012, enabling an expansion into more complex audio-visual technological services and full event management solutions. Often PHPS worked alongside Keith and Jenni Brews at Affinity Events providing their production expertise and freelance crew to support large scale conferences across the UK and overseas. In 2024 the two companies merged into one unified and expert-led event management company.

Today we remain committed to connecting people, connecting ideas and delivering exceptional conference and event experiences.

The PH People

We connect wires with sound systems and lighting rigs, speakers to delegates, people at home with conferences happening at the other side of the world. Alongside our dedicated crew of experienced freelancers, these are the PH people who make impactful conferences happen.

Peter Herbert
Managing Director

Pete generates the ideas, overcomes the challenges, brings people’s event vision into reality, all whilst drinking a good coffee and riding a pink unicorn. Shies away from the spotlight, despite having a theatrical background. Can cause the odd drama still.

Jenni Brews
Events Manager

Jenni’s an experienced Director-level events pro, who specialises in conference support, delegate and abstract management. She loves process and order, but oozes creativity – her desk drawer contains every sharpie colour known to exist as evidenced in her comms docs.

Russell Coppock
Technical Director

Russ is officially our technical wizard, he’s the guy behind the decks, behind the scenes, pushing the buttons, connecting the wires and making the magic happen. Trouble shooter, problem solver, noise catcher and often the one to see things from a different angle. 

Gary Cicinskas
Project Development and Marketing Manager

Gary’s been shaped by two decades of cultural comms and event management experience. He was instrumental in the formation of Appetite Stoke and loves nothing more than knowing that he’s helped bring creative or cultural curiosity to people’s lives.

Keith Brews
Technical Consultant

Keith brings a wealth of technical expertise, decades of top-level event experience and a background in electronic communications. He can fix almost anything and is insanely curious about gadgets, which allegedly began with him dismantling his etch-a-sketch on Boxing Day as child.

Vicki Brackpool
Events Organiser

Vicki undertakes the crucial task of venue finding and oversees exhibition management, ensuring that all logistical elements are in place and deadlines are met by all parties. She is a highly experienced, skilled meeting facilitator and runs on good coffee and laughter.

James Thornhill
Administrator/Project Coordinator

James is our poster of social media comms, central cog in the connects network wheel, and a great guy to have around. He gives everyone a warm friendly welcome and puts them at ease on event days.

Tommy Finney
Production Technician

Tommy is an events technician working in and around the world of audio and video. He’s a musician at heart and has a keen ear for detail. Whether it’s mixing front of house or grabbing a camera, he brings energy, curiosity, and a can-do attitude to the fast-paced world of live production.

Ellie Ulyatt
Production Technician

Ellie is proud to be a frontline “boots on the ground” technician, who loves solving problems on the fly, making the magic happen and the high of live events. Her one goal remains constant – to give Pete and Russell a day off.

Janet Herbert
Finance Director

Janet looked after the books for her parents business from the age of 14, later she worked as a Director’s PA, before running her own retail business. Now a full-time foster carer, she somehow finds time to look after our finances!

Elizabeth Wilson
Graduate Placement, Marketing

Elizabeth joined us straight from Keele University, where she undertook volunteering work at their Trampolining club, as well achieving a degree in Marketing and Business Management. Perfect preparation for the ups and downs of event production promotion!
