Lighting up The Methodist Church conference, in the darkest of times

When the dark veil of Covid lockdown fell upon us all, the curtain dropped on the events industry. The Methodist Church in the UK realised that it was more important than ever to live their constitution and come together for their annual conference. But how?
This wasn’t a case of a simple “Zoom” call. The conference brings together 400 delegates over 8 days, encompassing group discussions, voting, separate meeting rooms. A complex event to deliver successfully in “normal times”. So just how could they emulate this online, in extraordinary times?
With the help of PH Productions conference services, the spotlight turned back on for The Methodist Conference. Embracing remote working, PH facilitated an all-encompassing online conference solution. A full set was designed and delivered, scenery was set, sound and lighting systems rigged, hosts and delegates were in situ for broadcasting, audio visual technicians in place to event manage the smooth production of live audience interaction and voting, live-streaming, virtual breakout rooms for the hosting of separate group discussions.
The expertise of the PH production team and the commitment of the conference organisers resulted in thousands of viewers watching the live stream. And now that the curtains have raised, PH continue to work with The Methodist Conference annual conference with full event technical audio-visual support and conference live streaming.
