PH Productions team supporting live theatre during the Pandemic
PH Production Services Ltd continued their support of live theatre during the Covid19 pandemic by live streaming award winning production ‘Common Lore’
The production was rehearsed and streamed from King Street Studios in Newcastle under Lyme on the 25th April 2020. The PH Production Services team were approached by the producers when it became clear that the planned tour of the show would not be able to proceed.
‘Common Lore’ is a Stute Theatre production, in association with Northern Broadsides and commissioned by Spot on and it won the ‘Breakthrough Performance’ at the Rural Touring awards in 2019.
The play stars actor, musician and story-teller Sophia Hatfield and follows the story of Scarlet. On her way to visit her nan she reinvents the childhood stories she knows so well, and finally discovers her future path in her own unique way.
‘Common Lore’ is a flexible touring one-woman show featuring live-looped electronic music, original songs, projections and fast paced theatre.
“The PH Production event team were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond to ensure our live streamed event went without a hitch. From the consultation and planning stages to rehearsals, lighting, sound, setting up and filming the show, the team were professional, knowledgable and organised throughout”
said Sophia following the live stream, she added;

King Street Studios in Newcastle under Lyme is available as a rehearsal space and is fully equipped for live streaming.
